PORTRAIT VERENA KÖNIG • @verenakoenig.official // CONNECTION Those who know me, know this: I love connection and true encounters. Especially through cycling, which has accompanied me for so many years. The bicycle brings people, places, and needs together. It creates freedom and reconnects us with ourselves and with nature. To me, that embodies life in one of its purest forms. Connection is something deeply human. And yet, it is often the first thing we lose when life overwhelms, shakes, or wounds us. We retreat, into thoughts, into protective patterns, into inner worlds. But healing and peace begin where true connection becomes possible again. Without the training with Verena König, I would never have become as aware of this as I am today - able to live it and pass it on as a Coach too (for NI Neurosystemische Integration® - Neurosystemic Integration and holistic, integrative trauma work). Connection begins in small things: A breath felt consciously. An inner part that is heard for the very first time. A gaze that does not judge, but truly sees. In this way, we create genuine encounters and deep understanding. 🫂 No one embodies all of this more fully to me. Through her presence and her profound, multidimensional work on trauma, she shows that connection is not a state we have to “manufacture”, but a natural flow that returns when safety is restored. She makes it tangible how deeply body, mind, and soul are intertwined. She teaches with both heart and intellect and she shows how the nervous system can be brought back into contact - not through pressure, but through invitation. Not through control, but through relationship. ✨We need each other 💞! Learning from her was a true gift. Hi! I’m Jule – a freelance Illustrator and Des Hi! I’m Jule – a freelance Illustrator and Designer from Essen, in the heart of the Ruhr area. I have a soft spot for brisk bike rides (with coffee and cake breaks!) and a deep curiosity for exploring life and what it means to live in connection. Art has been a constant companion throughout my life: a powerful resource that helps me explore healing, self-regulation, and mindful connection (cycling too). Over the past year, I’ve had the chance to experience the power of artistic expression in a new way—through my work as an art teacher for children and teens. It’s shown me just how transformative and connecting creativity can be, especially when shared in a safe, playful space. One of my greatest joys is creating portraits of unique individuals. Capturing their personality, essence, and presence through illustration. I love placing people and their stories at the heart of my work. In my illustrations, I explore themes like diversity, gender equality, body awareness, and conscious living, with respect, care, and a bit of humor. The bicycle, one of my lifelong companions, often finds its way into my work too. Right now, I’m working on combining my art with my work as a Coach for NI Neurosystemische Integration® | traumasensibles Coaching | ganzheitlich-integrative Traumaarbeit (Neurosystemic Integration and holistic, integrative trauma work). My goal is to support people on a deeper level, especially during challenging life transitions, by creating spaces where creativity and nervous system awareness can come together. Art has a unique way of opening doors to our inner world, and I’m excited to explore how these tools can offer meaningful guidance and connection. Stay tuned! I’m so happy you’re here! We ride in the same direction - not always at the same speed, not always on the same path - but connected by what truly matters: unity. Our differences make us vibrant, our embrace makes us strong. And sometimes, all it takes is a gesture, a smile, an outstretched arm to say: You’re not alone on this journey. Inspired by an incredible weekend @windkante_cc - I wasn’t there in person, but I followed all the activities and people online with admiration. Above all: the “Ride Around The Ruhr” #ratr What a community! Pure goosebumps and raw emotion! ~~~ Wir bewegen uns in die gleiche Richtung, nicht immer im gleichen Tempo, nicht immer auf dem gleichen Weg, aber verbunden durch das, was zählt: Zusammenhalt. Unsere Unterschiede machen uns bunt, unsere Umarmungen machen uns stark. Und manchmal reicht eine Geste, ein Lächeln, ein ausgestreckter Arm, um zu zeigen: Du bist nicht allein auf diesem Weg. Inspiriert von einem beeindruckenden Wochenende bei der @windkante_cc . Ich war nicht live dabei, habe aber alle Aktivitäten und Menschen digital bestaunt – allen voran den „Ride Around The Ruhr“ #ratr. Was für eine Community! Gänsehaut und Emotionen pur!

Ich liebe einfach diese Alleskönner 🥰 Hier ist Platz für unterschiedlichstes Gepäck – und Raum für jede Menge Facetten purer Freude. Fahrspaß, Funktionalität und Vortrieb. Modulare Lösungen für den urbanen Alltag und ich durfte ans Zeichenbrett 😍. Zum Launch wurde die Illustration auf eine limitierte Auflage von T-Shirts gedruckt – eine Überraschung für Freund*innen und Presse und gemeinsam mit dem farbigen Motiv auf der Postkarte ein wertschätzendes Gesamtpaket. Modular solutions for urban everyday life – and I got to pick up the pencil! 💓 To celebrate the launch, the illustration was printed on a limited edition of T-shirts – a surprise for friends and the press, and together with the colorful artwork on the postcard, a thoughtful and heartfelt package.
